I dont know much about orcs and goblins, in the way they are played.
But I love the idea of an all gobo army.
What is there magic like?
and is this a really dumb idea.?
and if it isnt, What sorta units should I star buying?
How big an army do you want? eg. 1500, 2000, 3000 points.
Also, night goblins, or goblins?
and not sure, whats the diff?
If you do not know the diffrence between the two, I would say that night goblins hate dwarfs, can have fanatics (suicidal gobbos that swing around a giant ball of death) and netters although they are slightly weaker then the ordinary gobbos
One of my friends uses an all goblin army and he seems to do well a lot of the time, it is not a bad idea to have an all goblin army because he says that they are one of the funnest armies that he has played
The magic isnt to bad, although the spells are weaker than those of their orc cousins
If you like the idea, I would say go for it!

Alright then. 2k.
I love night goblins, I play vampire counts and night goblins, and though I win way more with vampire counts, the night goblins are the most fun army ever.
If you go with night goblins, I'd suggest you take lots of squigs, fanatics and artillery. The random element of all these as well as animosity make it a quite amusing army.
Not that I haven't won a few though, occasionally, the army can be quite competitive.
I'd suggest if you're going with night goblins, to try and get your hands on 3 or 4 battle for skull passes, and sell the dwarfs, because you will get a good infantry base off that.
If your going with normal goblins, the slightly more normal, tougher goblins, you can't do much more than buy goblins.
Usually, people with goblin armies have a minimum unit size of 30.
After your infantry, you might want to get some squigs, or artillery, followed by something a bit more hard hitting, like a giant or trolls.
It's all up to you really..
So anyway, it's not a dumb idea, it's quite a good one.
yeah, magic is definitely weaker offensively, but they can have a fair amount of defence. They also have access to all the warmachines and a chariot, they can build gunlines and cavalry-ish armies (but not really a good idea), but are really good at LOADS of infantry. Can be intimidating, especially as killing 3 units of gobbos isn't that much victory points and there'll be like 10 more if you go pure horde. Only problem is pooooooooor leadership, so musicians all round, horn of urgok, and battle standard bearer.
In short it's very fun but can be frustrating
