Welcome to Librarium Online!
Im just gettin into WHF and i was trying to find an army that was all Calvary/monsters and reading through the army lists, it seems possible w O&Gs
My question is how feasible is it?
In the 2000 point range, i was thinkin:
Warboss on Wyvern
2x Goblin Shamans (scroll caddies) on Wolf Chariots
Core of Wolf/Spider riders
Units of Boar Riders/Savage Riders
Maybe a Boar Chariot
Could something like that work, or are the units too weak to hold up in combat bc they would be in fairly low numbers.
I was thinkin the 2 Giants bc they would scare the crap out of the enemy and let my calvary get into position for flank charges
The answer is yes. You can in fact make an all cav O&G army. Could it work... Maybe. I would say big blocks of gobo wolf riders w/shields and then some with out for the fast cav. For chariots I much prefer gobo to orc because of the higher movement. It could be fun. Giants are always an awesome addition to the o&g list....Now that you've got me thinking about this... I am going to let it bounce around in the grey matter and post anything that's worth posting. I'd love to hear what some other people think.

Baby boys are like free bulldozer rental tickets. You have no idea what you're going to do with them but you know they are awesome!
Troll's can keep up with Boar Riders. Put them in the center of your formation and your boar riders on a flank. By the time the boar riders are turning to go into the flank the Troll's should hit the center.
O+G run into tons of problems with all cav armies. Animosity hurts way more when your movement is better and you have a much smaller number of units. Also Black Orcs in Units are *much* more likely to cause panic checks if you use em to quell animosity.
If you're really looking for something to do an all mounted list, I would check out Brits, or Warriors of Chaos. They would do much better than O+G.
Yeah, animosity does hurt a lot with cavalry but then again with lucky waaaghs and some movement magic it could be more devestating than you're opponent suspects. Psychology could be an issue with going heavy magic, but units of squig hoppers can help if you count them as cavalry
