Id at least give those units one fanatic.
Also get more gobbos!

Why????? you say our fanatics will plow through our diminutive snotlings.
But that is the point I say!!! because the Fanatics "move" through units without the extra movment affecting the total they move due to the dice roll
(sorry if I confuse you, I can't explain things very well)
Therefore, considering this a snotling base is about 2' wide/long and the average dice roll is 7, and the Fanatics are let out when the enemy is within 8'. Thus with average dice rolls our fanatics will just miss out. But because of the extra 2' gained from moving through the snotlings our average roll becomes a 9' thus our Fanatics hit the enemy and move through them behind their lines.
Just some friendly advice.

Redman thats actually quite brilliant. Not sure if its legal, but it sounds good to me. Also,120 models seems small for a gobbo army, unless your maxing out on the squigs/fanatics/war engines, which might not be so bad.
It's prefectly legal, especially since the snotlings don't count as small, and therefore block line of sight.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel allright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace, and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
Goblin kroozade of revengyness: win:19 draw:10 loss:9
You know, this thread has me wondering who would win in an all-crap battle: Bretonnian Men at Arms or Night gobbos? Both have bad leadership and bad weaponskills but are extremely cheap.
I could see how a massive gobbo army like that would work though. Most inexperienced players think that gobbos are nothing but cannon fodder (well...they are) but really don't take into account the numbers and the fact that even if it does take 5's and 6's to wound the enemy that they'll eventually score those. They're going to win most combat resolutions for outnumbering the opponent. Really, all you have to worry about is panic from missile fire. If the opponent is smart he'd focus all missile fire on decimating just one unit per turn. 2 units of longbowmen or crossbowmen could cause widespread panic with some good rolling...But I really like the idea of a massive goblin army. Just avoid those elf and dwarf armies.

An all night goblin army against dwarves would work a treat, the dwarf player would be so horribly outnumbered. Fanatics ignore the ridiculous armour save that dwarves have and night goblins hate dwarves so get to re roll misses in combat. I am going to give it a goI only have about 250 of them sitting around.
Helper monkey, bring me beer and donuts

I have a night gobbo army - It's rather fun. Fanatics and squigs everywhere...
I've lost every battle so far, but one (against dwarves) was quite close. The thing to do (or at least, the thing I do) with night gobbos is to go all out on the fun stuff. And, to not take trolls, because they always go stupid, get charged and run off.![]()
I'm going to drop them, and get more Gobbos...

2 Giants,200 night goblins,10 lvls of magic, and 12-20 fanatics? Its not only possible, but bordering on cheesy. It will do well, but be prepared for a good portion of your army to run away every battle.

In my night gobbo's only army, I have all goblin / squig units, snots and nothing taller than a night gobbo (except the snotling pump wagon - but surely that doesn't count :glare: ). At least 1 NG hero is included for a massive Ld 6 to laden him up with mad cap mushrooms.
The ensuing complusory movement and panic checks are pure chaos! For both sides!
