    Savage orcs kick butt. Yes they run all over the place, yes the frenzy is a double edged sword but they can hold their own in a scrap and the boar boyz are fantastic. Not much can take a charge from a tooled up savage orc boar boy unit. The beauty of the Orc and Goblin list though is its flexibility, your opponent never quite knows what he will be up againt.

    I dont play orcs but my freind has started a army and he wants to do a orc army but i say use goblins becasue u can have so many and they get all of the fun stuff but i didnt know u got an extra hero every 1000 pts in a goblin army thats cool stuff. I told him use at least 1 squad of NG so he can get fanatics crazy and funny stuff. But is it better to have goblins or Night goblins only difference i can see is you get fanatics and netters with NG and hate dwarfs, and the only thing normal goblins have better is the option to have light armor. but i told him always give them spears they are almost worthless withought them becasue your going to miss half the time any way so have 2 ranks of attacks. So which one is better? night goblins or normal goblins?

    While I much prefer night goblins as foot troops, many people like common goblins because they have one more point of leadership, so they stay around a little longer

    I think that common gobbos are a bit more characterful / versatile than night gobbos. Have any of you guys seen the Chronicles update for different gobbo species? Some were really good!

    I love night goblins, can't even remember the last time I used common goblins as anything other than wolfboyz. Fanatics are great, Night goblins have a higher initiative than common gobbos and can carry nets. Never forget the squigs either, nasty nasty little things with big teeth.

    Giving light armour to goblins is in my opinion crazy talk. It costs 1 point to give them a 6 saving throw which is so easy to negate. I prefer the approach that for every 2 goblins you give light armour just have another goblin instead

    Err, they get a 4+ save if you only give them light armour. Thats not too easy to negate.

    Yeah. In my opinion the only reason ever to take normal gobbo's is to give them a 4+ save in CC w/ light armour. LD6 vs LD5 really isnt that big of a difference,chances are you'll still fail your LD roll when they lose combat either way

    Thx but ide still rather have losts of fanatics and squigs speacially squig riders and squig chariots funny funny stuff. And have all mage heros and start casting Waagh magic every where. ill tell my freind what u said though thanks 4 the help , a whole goblin army sounds so fun :lol: .
