I am thinking of collecting a goblin and black orc army list what do you think?
Goblins would form the main battleline while black orcs would fill in the special choices.
What would you suggest to lead the force, and what would you suggest for the other requirments in the force?
Personally i would take 2 or 3 very large blocks of goblin and smaller units of orc. Panicing Goblins is not fun if they are yours"!!!
Yes panic is not funny. The Battle Standard Bearer can simply not be left at home.
Black Orcs leading the army is great! They smack down animosity if they're in the Goblin units and they bring better leadership to avoid breaking.
Black orcs are generally a bit expensive pointwise, so i would suggest putting those points to good use, give them a good banner, like the Waaagh banner or banner of Butchery or Eternal Flame and any goblin support units should have Netters. If they do not have nets, the enemy can score many points on killing feeble goblins and win the combat, while nets wll make the enemy weaker even when targetting the black orcs if theyre in the same combat.
I think these units can support eachother perfectly.
Night Goblins, 20-50 with nets, armed with bows or with shield/HW. Theyre for support and threat.
Black Orcs: 12 to 25, going 5/6 wide
Make the BSB one that survives the battle and deploy him somewhere hidden in your centre. Defensive items such as Ward saves are often worth the investment.
Warchief Diggah o da Bloodmoon Squiggahs
Thanks for suggestions.
Would you suggest all goblin units as hordes?
Are spider riders useful in armies?
How many fanatics/netters in each unit?
How many units of black orcs?
