Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm trying to figure out the best way to size my goblin units. Units of 20 are way to small, I understand that now with the new rules of hordes and stuff. So I'm trying to figure out the best way to size my gobbos. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Go for 50+ strong units. Include fanatics, netters full command etc.
Faced units of 100 several times. Its not pretty,.
Okay 50+. Hmm. Okay haha. That's alot of gobbos. Is 50+ too much for a 2k army? (that's probably a dumb question...) Because I still want a well rounded list. Of course I'm still thinking to myself that an all goblin army can never win! I'll just have to prove myself wrong. Thanks!
In a 2k I would go with a unit of 40, 50 at a push but definetely armed with spears and shields to help them a wee bit to get acrss the board

Muse2k8's Painting Antics (WIP and Finished Models thread)
In my 2250 army I've got one unit of 60 goblins w/spears, one unit of 48 night goblins w/spears, one unit of 36 short bow goblins, one unit of 36 goblins w/hand weapons. These are my infantry contingents.
I often wish I had one more small (36 models) unit for even more flank protection, but what can ya do?
An all goblin army is 100% competitive, but you gotta be in it for the long haul! -you gotta be ready to paint A LOT of models, be ready to suffer some huge casualties on the battlefield (point per point you'll come out ahead), and be ready to lose your fair share of battles due to just plain BAD LUCK due to the inconsistent nature of the ghoblin's sneaky special weapons...
