Rep Power: 63 ![]() | Has anyone ever used a pump wagon? How'd it go, if so? Was it worth the points both fun-wise and effective-wise? Same questions as above for squigs. Also what is a good ratio for squigs to night goblins? And are Squig Hoppers worth it, or just go for squigs and night gobbos? Thanks for any input.

Pump wagons,i love them. I never have the points for them unfortunatly, but ive heard alot of stories about how devestating they are. Not to mention having a 360 degree charge arc. Squigs ive heard alot worse reviews of.

I have 2 pump wagons in my 2000 point army ![]() They are worth it, believe me. Like that one time i went against a unit of handgunners, then used hand of mork and charged the handgunners, made 12 impact hits and killed 9, then i ran the rest down. So I was behind his line and continued to cause mayhem. Sure, they are a bit fragile, but they cost 40 points. Also, when you have crashed into a regiment of say, clanrats (be sure to crash in where you have the least models in base to base) it will take ETERNITIES for him to destroy it! Use pump wagons with care, crash them into troops with a weak armour save and toughness. Elves, anyone? Squigs are kinda worth it, your best combatters in the army. Make sure you have like a 6 model wide unit with 12 or so squigs, and use hand of mork on them to make the charges. I don't really know if the jumpers are worth it though, they don't make that much damage and cost 18 points!

Problem with squigs is that the unit really starts to add up with those squig's point cost, and with only LD5 their a very risky gamble. Snotling Pump wagons ROCK. For 40 points its a very small loss if they die,and they dont cause panic in other greenskin units,AND their unbreakable,AND highly destructive. |

Yeah, good idea, but dont jump the gun and get 2 until your sure you dont want to use any other rare slots such as giants or doom divers or trolls, all of which are as useful as the pump wagon, granted in different ways.

Yeah, I figure I'll get 1 and see if I like it or not. It seems like a better investment than a giant.

Pump wagons are really fun if a little erractic movement wise! But I wholeheartedly agree with all of the above comments, I had a snotling pump wagon delay a unit of 30+ skeletons for 5 turns... and on turn 6 I charged in 2 snot swarms! In the meantime, the rest of my army (nomadic theme to it) decimated the other rank and file with wolf chariots and the like! Squigs are also a fun unit. To use them effectively though, you have to have enough herders to get them to the front lines. I also find hoppers to be nearly useless, not worth the extra points cost generally. Oh, and don't write off giants either, they're lots of fun too despire the points cost. A stubborn terror causing unit with leadership 10 is always a good addition to your army! :shifty:

I actually put one in a 500 point list and it was absolutely unstoppable. In higher point lists you still can hide it behind big trees and things to maximise its survivability as well, that's what I usually do. It's is a lot of points, a little erratic, but supported with other charging units, it's a game winner! But definitely try the pump wagon first, it's a steal at 40 points and being unbreakable! If you opponent laughs at it and it doesn't work out for you, the bring out the giant!
