Welcome to Librarium Online!
when having a night goblin unit in your turn, if you approach a unit with fanatics in it, do you have to halt at 8" or procveed to your full movement then release them?
You halt at 8".
Yeah, as soon as any enemy gets within 8" all movement is stopped while fanatics are moved completely. Then the enemy (or you) continues with the movement.
All the old Specialist Games resources are currently being uploaded at the Tactical Command forums, and you can find them here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/.
All moving units are stopped at 8", enemy charging units are the exception here and they must complete their charge if no more fanatics are in the way. If more fanatics are in the way then the charger can choose to either halt their charge or complete it.
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.
Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.

Questions on the rules:
Say if you rolled 7 inches and travelled 1 inch towards the unit and 3 inches through it, do you move the rest of the 7 inches (3) out the other side?
Am I correct in thinking that if you roll 3 inches and travell into a unit that is more than 3 inches deep. Do you still move 1 inch out the other side?
Thanks in advance.
In the rules it says the fanatic may not finish it's turn inside a unit, if it's movement isn't enough to get it out the otherside it automatically does so. I think.
and my first question please?
I'd say that they do finish their movement if they have inches left to move after they go through the unit.
Both of your examples are correct, 'atta lad
The army book says it pirty clear.
you move through the unit. say your 8" away. you roll 9". So you land right inback.
say your fanatic is 1" away and you roll 11" (and some how the scatter die points you at them) you measure the full distance. 1 time I flew through 2 units. like that will happen again. (Y) :hmm:
