Hey everyone, just thought maybe people would like a spot to show off some Ork and Goblin models that you've been working on or maybe have finished. I'd like to see what people have done. (:
Here's my currently in progress Grimgor. Sorry about the photo quality. Phone camera. P:

Tell me what you think so far. (:
Just a small selection of my OGs
Wow Lord-Viper! I really love what you've done with those savage orks! How did you get them to look like that? Share your secrets!
Thank you for your kind words Interro
As a matter of fact, I'm a newbie painter myself. The savage orcs you see are my best work so far. I only did the VERY basic stuff in the models and it worked very well as you can see
1) basecoat in white
2) paint the "light green" skin for all the models
3) paint the bones / belts / etc.
4) wash the skin with the green wash (thrakka green???, don't remember the name) and the other stuff with gryphonne sepia (sp?)
5) highlight with a mix of green and yellow some parts of the skin / bones
That's it ! As you can see, it's the most simple painting method applied: nothing fancy
I hope my meager advice is helpful for you Interro. We should keep practicing and some day we'll become "master painters" LOL
Lol, well, I'm still impressed. I've gone through many tutorials myself and still haven't found the one that clicks with me. I will definitely be attempting your method. (:
I agree we should keep practicing! Maybe when we do hit the status of "master painters", we'll be working for GW or run for the Golden Demon award. Lol.
About time someone started a thread like this...... The WoC board has had one running for Ages!! About time we showed them what for!!! All these greenies look awesome, especially that skin tone Vespasian!
