Hello,i have a black orc metal box but I sill don´t have made a colour scheme that i like.Could someone please give me some sugestions please?
What kind of scheme are you looking for ? A dark pattern for their skin, or some non-mettalic combination to paint their amor ?
40k : Necron ,Chaos, Space Orks ,Eldar ,Dark Angels, 'Nyds

Typically players paint their black orcs with a darker skin tone than their regular orcs (hence the name black orc). Often this is based on a Dark Angels Green sort of shade. Then for the armour just use metals. Maybe, since this is orcy armour after all, rust it a bit using some brown inks.
Did you have any ideas about how to make yours more unique?
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

For the skin on black orc I undercoat them in black then use a base coat of dark angels green. I think go over the raised bits with a slightly watered down snot green, and then a lighter highlight with watered down goblin green. Gives quite a good effect. A watered down wash with dark green ink subdues the goblin green as well.
For the armour I just paint it in a dark metallic colour and highlight with chainmail. I tend to find that a light dry brushing of something like tin bits over some of the armour gives a nice rusty feel to it.
Also for conversion I go to my bits box and slap extra armour and weapons on some models to give them the proper "armed to da teef" look
Helper monkey, bring me beer and donuts
All of my orc boyz have rusted arms and armor except my black orcs. The black orcs tend to have newer and more polished armor and weapons, whereas my regular orcs looks as though they left their's out in the rain. For a year.
Black orcs, being the tough fighters that they are, probably got better deals on their equipment, or found some guys with nicer looking thing to take. As far as skin color, they generally have a little lighter version of dark angels green. Though if you want to mess with your opponent, paint them purple and keep calling it black.
Thanks for the tips, but the metallics ALWAYS look a litlle to bright, to dark or to brown. The skin isn´t really a problem but the armour is.
Do you know any way of make them look the ones on the page 55 of the 6 edition Orc and Goblin book?
