Welcome to Librarium Online!
At the moment i have a chaos army and am soon going to be moving on to a new army.
Orks look good but i was wondering if any of u have been disapointed with getting then and what they are like to play with?
It depends on how/why you play. They are very different from HoC.
1st - tons of randomness with animosity, random direction, or amount of movement
2nd - tons of models (think 200+) compared to HoC
3rd - completely different style of play (poor WS, huge blocks of troops, great fast cav, lots of cheap units)
4th - different, but great magic
There are a million ways to make an army (like HoC) since there are actually 2 races and pages and pages of units. Some are heavy hitting, some are fast, some are crazy, some are funny
It just depends on what you like.
I have been an orc (not ork, thats 40k  ) for what feels like forever and I still haven't gotten bored of them. The variety you can field means that your opponent never knows what kind of army they will be facing next. The random element is priceless, if you don't mind your own army doing more damage to itself than the enemy :w00t:
Helper monkey, bring me beer and donuts
Orcs are probably the most enjoyable army to play they have good destructive magic, you get lots of troops to play with that are fun like Giants, squigs, simple night goblins with nets(your chaos knights are st4 now), fanatics that scare the hell out of everyone(even if you dont have any in your army get them out and put them on the side of the table, your opponent will most likely avoid your night goblins).Plus your basic orcs are pretty good in combat for their points with choppas.
BEN DIESEL FTW!!!
yeah i'm starting an all night goblin just for the randomness and silliness....ess... i can definatly forsee some real fun games... IMO you don't play goblins to stomp an army...you play them for fun... but after reading the book... you can make some real nasty lists using orcs and giants...and other things as well.
