A Big Un with dual choppaz and shield costs 2 less points than a black orc with shield but with quite a lot of disadvantages - (lower armour save, not immune to animosity, not armed to the teef). So why would anyone take Big Uns in an army when Black Orcs are so much more worth their points??
Thanks for any replies
Black orcs are special choices so the number of them is restricted , however you can only upgrade one unit of boyzs to big uns.
The reason for choosing them I suppose would be the 2 points per model and just live with the animosity. Big uns are quite hitty.

If your fielding 20 biguns thats 2points x 20 = one snotling wagon less than a black or unit. For a core choice, thats not really so bad. Not to mention, you dont have to take the double chops either, costing you even less points. The other nice thing, is big uns have the option of taking a magic banner. Add that with the fact you have a nice unit to put the general in (since when you call waaagh! you succeed automatically) you could have two units that get a free waaagh success when you run these boyz next to the black orcs.
But then, that may not fit your play style. It just fits mine.
