Hey, if there already is a thread about ork conversions, please tell me and I will delete it. Yes, this should be in the conversions area of the forums, but I feel that it should be here, because I want to talk about what conversions could be made on orks and how they can be achieved.

Nob with Power Klaw (conversion)

Items needed:

Black Reach Nob with choppa in right hand

Power Klaw from biker sprue


step 1. Take off the arm of the Ork already there with a saw or clippers (unless its one of the ones you glue on, then just skip this step).

step 2. file down the joint on the arm.

step 3. glue the power klaw on to the arm socket, making sure no glue comes out the side, for a nice, strong fit.

Viola! a simple conversion!

Plan: Deffboyz of da bayou

We'll see how this turns out, but I'm gonna try to mess with the deffkoptas from Black Reach and make them into bayou swamp racers. Obviously this means moving the rotor blades to the back, and probably building some sort of frame assembly to make it look right. I'll post pics if it works out.

2. replace the head with the WHF Blackorc Banner

3. grab some technical looking stuff and an antenna and glue all togehter on his back

very nice! I might make one if I can get hold of a black orc banner. I'll probably make it a warboss though, and find a power klaw to use.

cybork warboss conversion

items needed:
1 meganob iron jaw and powerclaw arm
1 aobr warboss
1 big shoota from the boyz spru
green stuff
armour plates from the boys spru

steps

remove the warboss powerclaw arm (though it may already be a seperate piece, in which case just clean up the shoulder area) and make the shoulder look sort of metal, using green stuff.

model the shoulder so that the meganob arm could fit onto it easily, using green stuff. any areas on the mega armour where u can c an ork arm, lightly fill them with greenstuff and model some rivets or something.

add the armour plate from the boys spru to the top of the shoulder where the mega-armour meets the plastic warboss.

add the iron jaw to the warboss' own jaw (some slight modeling may be required here, but nothing drastic).

cut the gun from the warboss' second arm, and use the big shoota to model it into a beefier looking weapon .

sorry if this dosent make alot of sense, but i will post a picture in a few weeks when iv actualy done the conversion, and hopefuly it will make more sense

I've always planned on converting a team of deffskull stormboyz who ride/desperately hold on to tau drones rather than have rokkit packs. Couple ideas were to have one dragging along the ground with a drone roped flying above, have another one hanging beneath it kicking some unfortunate in the head and of course have one surfing atop one.

I also had the rather insane plan to scratchbuild an ork blimp and use it as a pseudo-fighta bomba in apocalypse games.

My most recent heavy conversion involves a mega armoured warboss made out of a space marine dreadnought and a healthy helping of other parts (including a defiler claw)

Glue the Claws on Partially Open, glue Slugga/shoota Nozzles in teh middle.
