Apparently they are coming out after DA which are next.when (if) they bring out this new codex.
I am thinking of going orks and I have always wondered why so few people took cyborks as well.

Worth their weight in delicious minced enemies when you stick them in a wartrukk and use them along with some trukkboyz to hammer home at the enemies, I'll say that much.
When I have enough points for an additional HQ slot, it usually goes to the painboss for much those reasons.
"Some days you're the Mekboy building the kannon, the rest you're the grot being blown up by it."
- Quote attributed to Sorkrates, before his much mourned death due to ingestion of Hemsquig Juice.
"Dis iz my choppa, and herez me gun. Dat's for killin' and so'z dis one!"
- Bloodaxe Kommando Warchant

I haven't used them yet (just starting to assemble my greenskin horde) but I have had them used against me.
If you think that regular orks are pretty good in CC, you ain't seen nothing. I had my assault marines all but wiped out in two rounds of combat against them. The marines were already caught in a grot pile when a cybork trukk pulled up and handed my my armoured arse.
I've seen them used on other players to great effect as well.
I'll either convert a few, or hold of in hopes of there being some decent models when the new codex hits in August.

I always use 'em in my 1500 list. They are definitely the best kept secret of the Ork list, and my regular opponents quickly learn to respect them.
I bought some crappy gundam models in Asia and made cyborks with the bits. They came out OK I guess, some better than others, but I'm not entirely happy with how they look.
They play great though...

Personally i've never even considered using them. However, now with people saying their are effective i may. I've always used extra points to add in storm boys as with their extra movement i find them an excellent unit. In addition, my only HQ choice is usually a Warboss, occassionally i take a Big Mek and stick them both in the same squad to give the squad some heavy hitters. For fun though, i may consider conversions there are some excellent pit fighter bits with drillers and chain saws which would easily fit an orky body
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
I made a unit of 5 cyborks, purly because I'd run out of legs and torso's. Using a 2nd Ed mega-armoured nob as my painboss, and my 5 monowheeled cyborks I have a cool 2nd HQ, or a HQ for 400 pt Combat Patrol. Unfortunatly, in thier first, and to date only, game, 3 of them got taken out by Prepatory Bombardment (T5 conts for nothing if the unit just "takes d6 wounds") but the painboss and remaining 2 cyborks held a building against CC tooled gaunts for several turns...still, moral victory... there wasnt much orky DNA left in them for the Nids to eat, they were all wheel, armour and stabby bitz.....
I'd highly reccomend them. The only downer is the relatively small unit size, but they really are tough as old boots. With a few bits of junk, you can make 2 cyborks from one boy.
Of course, there are no official models, but arm/head swaps aren't hard, and if you're not prepared to convert, you probably bought the wrong army book!
I don't have my dex here at college, so I could be wrong, but I don't think cyborks get choppas, and I think that's a big reason they're so rare. After all, we orks love our choppas.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
Nah, 'borks get choppa & slugga, but there's no other options. Personaly, I would guess the lack of popularity is a tooled up warboss costs a lot of points, and Orks dont really need a second HQ. That and the painboss mini is nothing special.
