Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi all. I'm very new to inquisitor. So new, I haven't played a game yet, and is trying to get a couple of guys together that love the 40k universe to play some games. Since I've opted to buy this game I've basically been given the task to be the GM.
I have created one character so far using advice I read from the forums on LO, and tried to make it not too powerful. I have a model in mind that I own that will be converted to use for this character, and that is the Eisenhorn.
I present to you Inq Genjuu Suteki
(click the name for Character Sheet)
I have not completed the Fluff for the character, but have set some facts in place to work on. Right now I want to know if this character's stats are ok to play with. I don't want to create characters that does not ad to the game.
Some trivia about Inq Genjuu:
- Genjuu is female.
- She was raised in a community where children are brought up as warriors, sometimes raised and tutored in a certain weapon class from the ages of 6 years old.
- She has always had a telepatic ability to block out psychic intrusions on herself, and was noticed by the Inquisition, who opted to watch her closely and then later after training use her as a Acolyte for the Inquisition.
- She has thus far exceeded expectation by showing great Leadership qualities that has made hr a favourable candidate to become a Inquisitor herself. Basically, she's fresh out of the academy. ^^
- She has a customised Sword (Katana) that she was givin at birth by her tribe, wich is longer than most swords but really light for easy manuvrability.
- She is more of a blend in shadows and infiltrate character, than a balls to the walls fighter.
I am planning to give her a Vet Imperial Guard to accompany her as she won't have enough influence or Money to hire Desperados or the like.
Thanx in advance for input and comments.

Well, seeing as you haven't had any replies so far I'll post one. I should preface this with the fact that I've only played just over half a dozen games, though I did manage to come third at the recent Inquisitor Grand Tournament so I don't think i can be going badly wrong. I hope you find the perspective of someone who has just played his first few games useful.
For starters (and because I'm more of a modeller than a gamer) using Eisenhorn to make a female character could be problematic as his body shape is wrong - although giving him some sort of bust and headswap would help feminize him. Also, your character is very agile (I=88 is closer to a super fast assassin than a trained soldier) and the Eisenhorn model hardly gives this impression, for a start he has braces on his legs.
The stats seem fair enough going by the rulebook, but I've learned that many gamers prefer to use slightly lower stats - if you let them get too high then it's barely worth rolling the dice as you can be almost certain they'll pass whatever test they're rolling for. As you're the GM, the 'power level' is up to you, but you might want to consider lowering everything by about 10 points.
I'd say drop 'Nerves of Steel' though - she doesn't really need it with a Nv that high, and it'd make things more interesting if just occasionally her nerve will fail - at the minute there's absolutely no situation where that'll happen. After all, if she's just starting out as an Inquisitor she's going to experience all sorts of terrifying situations in future - things she won't have faced up till now. Instead, as she's blend into the shadows type, why not give her the -20% to detection attempts that assassins get to reflect that? It'll influence the way you use her in games and be quite characterful.
The outline of her background seems like a reasonable start. I have a few points though. Firstly, why when the Inquisition noticed her psychic abilities didn't they capture her and ship her off on a Blackship? If an Inquisitor finds someone with a psi-rating of iota or above they are required to immediately confine or terminate that individual. Secondly, acolytes are trained by an individual Inquisitor, there isn't an Inquisitorial Academy. (Although it isn't outside the realms of possibility that a cabal of like minded Inquisitors set one up in order to pool their resources and better train their apprentices). You might want to read the recruitment section of the Thorian Sourcebook for more details.
I like the equipment load you've chosen for her - it's very understated, and nice to see an Inquisitor who isn't equipped with everything under the sun. What's a 'Conventional Force Field' though?
Hope that was helpful.

As for her stats, looking at them again she's actually pretty good I think - I'd just suggest some minor tweaks. I'd say leave her S & T, and her Wp and Sg are fine too. You could drop her Nv and Ld by say 10 points. Maybe knock D10 off her Ws Bs & I.Glad I could be of service. Hope you and your friends have fun.Oh, hell yeah. You don't know how much. Thanx for taking the time to respond. I want our first game to be a lot of fun, so all the guys want to keep playing afterwards. First impressions and all that.

LOL! Just read your post. Whoops changed her stats too quickly. I'll change that now. I thought the Strenght and Toughness to be too low there, but changed it anyway. I'll change it back now, because in the 50's is a bit low to my liking.

Looks good to me. She's very skilled with a sword, pretty good with a gun, but she'll probably want to aim for at least one action before firing (which makes sense as she has a duelling pistol). She's about as strong and tough as a trained soldier, and is stealthy and agile as befits her youth and training. Her mental stats are generally excellent, but with room for improvement (especially her Sg) which is as it should be if she's just starting out as an Inquisitor. And last but not least, has a useful psychic talent.
Any more model ideas? Or for characters to make up her retinue? You mentioned a Guard veteran which seems like a good idea - guns aren't her strong point so it makes sense she'd hire someone with a lot of firearms experience. Anyone else?

I do have a guard setup already, but I think he might be too powerful.
Vet Guard Sgt Barbosa De' Vux
Here's the current stats: Click Me!
And here is the Stat changes I plan to make.
WS = 69
BS = 73
ST = 65
TO = 63
IN = 57
WP = 59
SG = 64
NV = 61
LD = 57
SPEED = 4
Equipment: I want to change the De-tox Inhaler with a Gas mask, since a De-Tox Inhaler is pretty expensive for a Guard Vet to have.
Dunno about the abilities though. Tried to make him a soldier that spent most of his time honing his skills at run and shoot warfare tactics.
I still need to write his background out for him, and where he's from. Most of his details will be a bit of a mistery to use in future scenarios. Like meeting an old war buddy that has gone corrupted and so forth. I want him to be the second main character of my warband.

What's the plan for his model?
