Hello all. My local gaming club has decided to start up BFG, and i could not be more thrilled. This game is what got me into games workshop games, but I never was able to find people to play against. Now I many! So it is time to build a new fleet. It will either be the list shown, or a craftworld cruiser heavy fleet.
Eclipse w/ prince 1 re roll Throw out fighters to cover my other ships
2 Shadow (might be in a formation, TBD)
3 Aconite: harrasment and support for the shadows
imoving on I will add in nightshades, more shadows and another unit of aconites.
Craft world Eldar
Dragonship w/ ld 10 admiral, raiders, aspect crews
3 wraiths (2 with batteries and torps,in a squadron. one with lances and launch bays)
3 Shadow hunters in a squadron, 1 lance 2 batteries
What do you fine people think? Pirates or Craftworld
Thousand Bows (SM)
Where are the lances and the torpeodes and the escorts?
Corsair Eldar fleets thrive on escorts. They should be at least 50% of your points. And why shadows? for one shadow, you can get a pair of arconites and two nightshades. You lose two structure points, but gain three more ships that have to be separately killed off, and more chances to make a successful BFI roll. The eclipse is fine, but you need more escorts in a corsair fleet.
I have not read as much about a craftworld fleet, nor seen one in action, so I can't really comment on it.
Shadows are crappy, Mongooseo give good advice. Eldar Pulsar Lances are awesome and there torps are YAY! Focus on escort vessels with them. Nightshades and Hemlocks. Couple of Aconites for support.
Dragonship always: batteries + launch bays
Wraithships: I prefer Pulsars + Torps on them
