a friend and me have decided to start battlefleet gothic, at our local gaming club we would then be the only 2 BFG gamers,
that's the reason no one of us 2 started it on his own.
(playing against yourself assures that you will always win but it ain't no fun)
so we wanted to buy the starter box, the one with the 4 chaos cruisers and the 4 imperial cruisers and the crapload of markers and the rulebook and stuff...
but i can't find it in the online-shops anymore.
is it just temporarily sold out or will it not be produced anymore?
would like to know it, thanks for answering.
Uhm, some sad news, there's pretty much no battlefleet Gothic anymore, sorry man! They released some adeptus mechanicus models some months back, but the books are out of print and the models only orderable online.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

The Dutch Legion
The vast majority of models are still available from the online store and as for the books and markers - well good news there; you can download the complete rules for both the game system and the ships for absolutely nothing from the specialist games section of the GW site.
There're no plans by GW to discontinue BFG in any way and you will find that, not only is it an extremely balanced and rewarding game system, but it also has one of the best fan-bases in terms of support for the game. You will find many fan-made rules and ship classes, the vast majority of which are very useable. For a start I would suggest having a look at Horizons fanzine - can't be bothered to get the link but it's in his sig - have a look and good luck with starting BFG - I'm sure you'll find it a very enjoyable game!
All the old Specialist Games resources are currently being uploaded at the Tactical Command forums, and you can find them here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/.
And don't forget that you can still walk into any GW store and order BFG stuff through direct services - no bothering with the postal system, you just sit back and wait for them to call you a couple of weeks later. Plus you may find other BFG players there, or even generate some new interest yourself!
first of all, thanks for all the quick reply's!
i already looked on ebay but i can't find the starter box on it.
and the guy of my local store is a complete jerk! and a lazzy one to!
example: i once ordered a box of STANDARD troops, nothing special, just a box of core troops, and it took him 4 months to get it! and you can't buy it somewhere else cause you go to the shop and always "it arrives next week" and he said that each week 4 months long. but after 2 months i bought it somewhere else and told him he could put it somewhere where the sun doesn't shine!
so i think i will order it online.
thanks for the help!
What a dweep.
But, yes, all models are available online, even the long lost Cobra's, Iconoclasts and Nicassar Dhow.
On releases: well BFG has everything covered so new releases would just be cherries.
Thanks for the kudoos theChaplain. I hope you enjoyed Warp Rift 21!
