Welcome to Librarium Online!
Having come to my dads for a holiday, I am surprised by several things. Firstly, that finally he has got internet access on this comp, so I'm not going to be two weeks adrift of things when I return to Plymouth, and secondly, what a cheap rip the Armada book is.
Almost without exception, this £18 book by The Evil Empire has the rules for fleets that I have already got on my comp at home by virtue of downloading them from the BFG resources and Forgeworld in .PDF format. Add to that that there are numerous spelling errors throughout the book and unclear rules concerning the points cost of several ships make this one great hash of a book.
Having said that, however, I am still going to keep it. Its the only way that I have proof, otherwise.
"It fits like clothes made out of wasps!"
Well, for those of us that don't have all those files on our computers, Armada is a very helpful book. Although i do agree that there are quite a few spelling errors i think that they need to hire a better editor. Lots of spelling erros. But other than that it was very helpful to me.
Hoorah! 101st Airborne
I phoned Warhammer World about it, and they said it was going too be re-released anytime now with errors fixed. Seems there was a bit of a cock-up in the editing dept. I can't seem to get a huge amount online (Tau, Spacehulk points cost) so Ithink the book is Ok. That said, I haven't bought it yet, so its a bit early to form an opinaian!
Never drink more than 2 Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters unless you are a thirty-ton Mega Elephant with brocal pheomonia!
Armada is an ok book at best. it is so full of errors it is no tfunny
Forget your past life. From this day on you are simply a Dark Angel, nothing else is of consequence. The chapter is all that matters.

Jost coz the books litterered with spelling mistake sdoesn't mean it sbad!
I hadn't noticed them till this (probably coz i'm an idiot)
But i think it is a brilliant book, a tad exspensive, but essential.
And spelling mistakes arren't that badd, rhight?
As long as you know what they're talkin about.

When I heard Armada was full of editorial errors, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. But I still fully plan to get it. For those of us without the pdf files and extra fleet list/rules, it is essential (plus all right there in a nice little package).
Also, I'll pay for any Battlefleet book I can get my hands on!
i bet the person who edited the book is feeling pretty bad about now...probably got fired
