Hey guys. My friend and I played a game of BFG the other day, him using Imperial Navy and me proxying nid ships with some Chaos ones I had laying around. When constructing my fleet, I decided to go for a lot of ordnance so I took thorax launch bays and 3 port/starboard launch bays.
Now, my question is this: With each port/starboard launch bay selection do I get to launch two squadrons of assault boats/fighters, or one? I would imagine that it allows me two since it would place one launch bay on each side but I wanted to make sure.
Actually, your "Thorax" weapons are just like Dorsal or Keel weapons for other fleets. Therefore, it's not exactly 1 for each side, but rather, 2 in total, anywhere. It doesn't make much difference, I know, but it's not a "port/starboard" thing.
Actually, I'm talking about an actual selection called "port/starboard weapons". And thanks guys. That's what I thought. It's just that launching 8 assault boats each turn seemed a little overpowered to me. And my opponent. But he hath learned to fear the nids!
