Hi, here are some of my ideas for a Delaque Gang.
delaque list. gang name; ?
Leader; knife, sword, boltgun, grenades (frag and krak), auto pistol = 260 c
heavy A; knife, plasma gun = 130 c
Heavy B; knife, lasgun = 85 c
Ganger 1; knife, shotgun (w/ man stopper), auto pistol = 90 c
Ganger 2; knife x2, autogun = 80 c
Ganger 3; knife x2, autogun = 75 c
Ganger 4; knife x2, lasgun = 80 c
Jenkins; knife x2, stub gun (w/ man stopper) = 45 c
Token; knife, las pistol = 40 c
Bric; knife, auto pistol, frag grenades = 70 c
950 c total.
What do you think?
I also have conversion ideas, i was thinking the cadian command squad to start off with and trying my hand at making the coats (any hints or tips here would be much appreciated)
thanks for looking
A few quick thoughts -
I don't see many people taking krak grenades, they are expensive and have strictly limited uses.
It's useful to have a second weapon of some type of a plasmagunner, so they don't stand around waiting while it recharges.
Two knives on your gangers get you nothing
Lasguns are better than autoguns, manstopper shotguns are also ok.
I don't think you can get manstopper for stub guns - only shotguns, but it's been a while.
Your low number of gangers means that even if the game goes well you won't be working all of your territories, putting you back in cashflow until one of your juves steps up (assuming that those last 3 named guys are juves)
If you can sneak a flamer onto that second heavy it'll do you no harm
You need at least 6 gangers, 5 to work your territories and a sixth because in almost all games at least one will be injured. Your lack of heavy weapons worries me, most opponents can sit back and let their heavy weaons take their toll on your guys, trust me there are lots of people who start their gangs with 2 heavy stubbers.
Drop all of your grendaes, trust me they have no place in a starting roster. If you have a pistol the second knife is useless, and the only special ammo for stub guns are dum dum bullets.
Swap your heavies' plasma gun out for a heavy stubber, heavy weapons are essential. Drop 1 juve and replace him with a regular ganger.
Hope that helps, it sorry if it seemed like I was a bit heavy on the criticism but with 4 gangers and no heavy weapons your list would get destroyed.

I do remember heavy weapons being more dominant 'back in the day' when we had only the starter box to play with, but with the original rules jammed guns helped open up gaps in the firing line.
