Welcome to Librarium Online!
So I had played a game where I was told Bombers can fly in any directions they want, but when they make their attack run it has to be straight at the target?
So my questions are:
> Is that right? Or can you fly a zig zag pattern to avoid blast markers and such?
> If you have to fly straight, does that include straight through rifts and such which destroy them, or can you avoid rifts, etc?
> Anything else you can provide would be nice, rules pages, FAQ's, etc.

As far as I'm aware, bombers attack (like fighters) when their movement brings them into contact with something they could attack, and since bombers can make as many turns as they want during their movement, yes, I'm pretty sure you can dodge around blast markers and such provided you have enough movement to do so.
Certainly, I can't find anything in the rules or the FAQ which suggests that bombers treat their attack run as anything other than a conventional move.
