i thought that the way that blast markers are being removed at the moment was a bit to ramdom do i thought i would change it a bit. all blast markers are removed in the end phrase exept for those either in contact with a ships base or those place because of a nova canon or from and exploding ship. blast markers placed by exploding ships/nova cannons are removed only on a roll of 6.
when flying through blast markers place by a nova canon or exploding ship, ships with 0 shields take hits on a roll of 5 or 6. ships with shields can also take hits on a roll of 6.
what do u think? i thought that it was a bit more realistic seeming that blast markers placed by lances or weapons bateries would fuzz out almost straight away. im not sure how elce to change the rule as so to make it less random as such. it's really just a sort of rough idea so comments and stuff are aprechiated. thanks.

I actually think the rules are fine how they are. It is supposed to be random, since every blast marker is made by something different and every bit of space could have had an unlimited range of various items or garbage from ships deposited there. Some fires would blaze for hours while others would simply burn out straight away, and it is made random because as I mentioned anything could be there.
What might be better is instead of the player whos turn it is taking all the markers, they alternate. One player takes a marker, then the other does until the amount rolled are gone. Or every marker could be assigned a number and those rolled at the end of the turn so it is really random not chosen by the player.
