We will - Will break you
We will - Defeat you
Was wondering the same thing myself as I am just about to start Inquisitor for the first time as well. I think fluff-wise its much easier to justify a Rogue Trader character having exotic or alien gear.
Though after reading through all of the "character types" in the rulebook I think Ive decided to go with a Desperado instead of a Rogue Trader, as the Desperado has a better ballistic skill where as a Rogue Trader seems a little more close combat oriented (or even more well rounded Id say). I plan to be using my two pistols as often as I can.
I am the Aquila-Guerilla!
Rogue traders... i think the whole point is that they fit well into the plot, and on a lower scale game with less over the top characters he's a way to justify using exotic and alien weapons/gear, as GuardianGnome said. now, that's not to say they're not useful. Most characters will only have some types of people in their warbands (ie, inquisitors won't have mutants or things like that with them), yet rogue traders could easily have anyone with them (although a marine might be a bit dodgy).

There's nothing quite as fun as seeing a Chaos Lord overdose on combat drugs two inches away from an assault...
