liking her. maybe some extra white on the hull like on the prow?
and she certainly needs some escorts. perhaps a dedicated AA Light cruiser and a couple of dedicated AA escorts? (well AA in terms of space)
for some reason when I saw her my first name throught was "Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsiya" (Октябрьская революция)

Well, seeing as she is named after Red Dwarf I was thinking of her being escorted by 'Astra Insectus' (Space Bug). Whether that would be a light cruiser or maybe a squadron of Astra Insectus 1, 2, 3 & 4 I'm not so sure. I could do a light cruiser as 'Space Bug' and some escorts as 'the blue midgets' but then that's actually turning it into a small fleet in itself!!! Blue Midgets would/could be attack craft anyway.

    Hush now

I think I'm going to go with the 4 Escorts. I have enough points to fit in 4 escorts and, funnily enough, there were 4 space bugs so it seems fitting. Having them as escorts also means my fleet fits with the original BFG and the updated BFGR version.

Now I just need to convert them Do I go for the traditional 'bubble' look or do them in more of a 40k feel? Painted insect green of course.

I didn't but I did have a crack at it with the Smotherman Formula. It's a BEAST and works out at just under 700pts. I added some rules/drawbacks and upped it's cost for 750pts.

EDIT: I Changed the Plasma Lances' Strength to 5 after I changed the rules (it used to hit on 5's)

    Fielding Dreadnoughts:
You may include one (and only one!) Dreadnought if your fleet includes two or more Battleships and the fleet is led by a Solar Admiral. The Solar Admiral must be placed on it.

    Dreadnought special rules:
Dreadnoughts follow all the rules for movement as Battleships with the following exceptions.
    - Dreadnoughts are not slowed down by being in contact with blast markers.
    - Dreadnoughts are not allowed to use the Burn Retro's special order.

Dreadnoughts are always supplied with the best crew and come with a contingent of Storm troopers as the Solar Admirals personal bodyguard. The Dreadnought receives +1 bonus when defending against boarding attempts.

Dreadnoughts are incredibly rare and each one is viewed as a holy relic. Some are even said to have carried the Primarchs and even the Emperor himself during the great crusade. The loss of one of these ancient vessels is a serious blow to Imperial morale. If crippled, the Dreadnought is worth 100% Victory points. If destroyed it is worth 150% Victory Points.

    Plasma Lance:

Shots from the Plasma Lance follow the same rules as normal lances but receive a +1 modifier on rolls to cause Critical hits

    Additional:
The Invicta Fidem comes equipped with a Targeting Matrix causing it's weapon batteries to have a left column shift on the gunnery table.

Despite having almost 20,000pts in Gothic I have very little in the way of scenery. With all my hobby stuff packed away due to a house move I had little in the way of little ships to hand so I finally bit the bullet and started making some scenery! - Asteroids!

They're pretty simple, just some 'Lava Rocks' I picked up from the local supermarket. There's more than pictured here, I have about 40 in total now and that was only half the bag! (not bad for £6!).

I also threw some bits on one of the larger rocks to make a quick and easy Space station. It's not had much effort put into the paint job but, hey, it's only scenery. ;D

Not a massive update but we're currenty moving house so Hobby time is at a premium at the moment! Still, to add to my growing collection of BFG scenery I have some planets. Excuse the quality of the pictures, the lighting is horrific. The green pools are actually highlighted bilious green so are quite luminous in reality. Maybe some more pics tomorrow..... maybe.

I had bought a cheap resin 'copy' of a Retribution from China as a present for a fellow hobbyist but the quality of the cast was pants so I ended up salvaging what I could and re-did my 'sawn-off' Battleship. This will be my Avenger Grand cruiser for my Rogue Trader fleet (with armoured prow, Prow torps and 45cm Weapon Batteries!!!). I also went ahead and painted/finished some swords.

The 'Stone Fleet'. 6 more escorts to do and then I''ll start work on the Merchant fleet

Next up is either some 'Heavy Escorts' (Havocs with 45cm weapon batteries) or two Mechantmen.... We'll see what happens....... I could end up doing something completely different. :-\

Well, the two Merchantmen are done. Based on the Dauntless hull. Fluff-wise they are mothballed and derelict Siluria class cruisers that have been recommissioned and converted into transport ships. I'm thinking about adding some freehand or something to the prows but I couldn't decide what........ so, until I do they are finished.
