    Inquisitor Campaigns, and roleplaying

I love the inquisitor game. I must admit that ever since it came out, I became fasinated by the inquisition, and now I collect only inquisition armies for 40k. Why do I like these inquisitor guys so much? THE BACKGROUND.

With the popularity of the inquisitor game slowly dropping at my local store, I decided to do a Roleplaying campaign for inquisitor. It featured many skirmish battles as turning points in the story, but was really focused on roleplaying. Much like D&D is. And, by roleplaying I don't mean that each inquisitor skirmish battle had background, I mean that we would actually sit around and roleplay, using the character's statistics as well as player intiligence to solve plots and set up situations. The skirmishes were only a really cool bonus.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had success with roleplaying in the Inquisitor game? If so, do you use any extra home rules (such as new characteristics) and what are they? I'm also looking for new campaing ideas.

    Thanks for the help .

If you can find an exemplar of the first 40k rulebook, a.k.a. Rogue Trader, you will get plenty of role-playing tips

There's actually a well made 40K RPG out there called *LIIINNNKKK ->Imperium. It's made using the rules for the old version of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay as the base, and Inquisitor for the conversions. It's very cool, and very complete. You might be interested in checking that out.

I looked for it on the net and found very little. Is it still being produced? Is there a website?

heh the name "Imperium" in my last post is a link. Blame the odd colors of the forum template.

Thanks for the info. The RPG looks very interesting. Over the next few months I'll be trying to incorporate some of these ideas as well as my own, and the standard inquisitor rules to create rules for extensive inquisitor campaigns. I hope it'll work. Basicly want a roleplaying background system for the inquisitor battle system. Imperium is pretty close.

By the way, Games Workshop has recently released a pdf about resources in inquisitor campaigns. It isn't perfect but it gives GMs some good ideas http://www.specialist-games.com/inquisitor/articles.asp (called Where's my Backup).
