when you start the new campaign, do you have to start off your gang fresh ie. get rid of all teritory, experiance, skills etc. or do you get to keep your stuff. It doesn't really say in the rule book.
Necromuda rocks..!

That depends on who you're playing against... If all the others are starting with a new gang, then you should do that as well. Otherwise it would be no fun for any of you. If you are several players who want to start a new campaign, and all have old gangs of about the same point score, I guess you can decide to play with the old gangs you have...
Hope that answers your question...

thanks
now I can get campaigning
It's usually best to start with a new gang, especially if playing against different players - they don't always beleive you that you acquired those two powerswords legally

No matter if you got them legally or not, they have a point count, shouldn't that be able to support your cause? At the beginning of the campaign everyone should start with the same point count no matter what anyway. That way it doesn't matter how you got the stuff, it's in the same way that you can decide to start out with low points or high points from the beginning...

It's more that those powerswords are rare trade, so to get one you have to roll it up. I've played against people in store than had the highest posible weaponskill, and were armed with 2 powerfists. People don't always start with the same points cost either, some people (certainly among the ones I've met) just use the bonus experience/giant killer bonus to even things out.

I find the powerswords comment ironic in that I've recently started playing necromunda (only 3 games) and already have 2 powerswords. My opponent also has 1 (he's a veteran, but only 3 games against me with his current gang).
Wow, thats wack. but still, i have seen guys in convetion campaigns end up with plasma pistols and vortex grenades, so double powerswords is NBD.
Yeah the 2 powerswords comment was actually from personal experience in a campaign we once ran - after one game I rolled up 2 powerswords, and the cost after variables was the EXACT ammount of creds I had left. As the guy I played wasn't there next week to verify it, people were highly suspicious that I had gained 2 powerswords for the exact ammount of money I had (I think it was 85 creds IIRC, can't remember the exact cost of PS's offhand). It's more that if you don't have roster sheets that everyone can see then lots of people don't trust others about their previous gang. Added in that people DO cheat (as low as it is), and it's just a better idea to start with a fresh gang each time (as per the initial question). I also find that playing your beefed up uber gang time after time is boring. Especially when the gang gets 20+ members and you can't even remember their names, it's much more fun to start as a green gang again![]()
Oh no doubt, But my intention with my present gang is to end up so big that I can feild them as an IG army. ^_^ Yes, I am a obsessive nurotic, how can you tell?
