Kill one man you're a Murderer.
Kill ten you're a Monster.
Kill a hundered you're a Hero.
Kill a thousand you're a Conqueror.
well, the dark eldar are supposed to be sleek and agile. Their ships are supposed to be fast, to get in and out fast. A large ship can't go as fast as a small one. I don't play battle fleet Gothic so I might be wrong about their speed.
And they don't really need more than this number of ships to fill out their designated roles.
I say again that |I don't play Battle Fleet, so don't get pi**** with me if Im completely wrong

Dark Eldar fleets, although limited in ship classes, are NOT without variety. Unlike most fleets in BFG, you can actually buy specific weapons and upgrades for their ships. On the Torture class cruiser, for example, you can add prow torpedoes, phantom lances, impaler assault modules, mimic engines, or launch bays. The only reason that there are so many classes for other fleets is because they have a seperate class for each weapons loadout.
Granted, even with the above upgrades, you're still using only two significantly different classes. But a Dark Eldar fleet is a raiding fleet - they don't have vast battleships or enormous variety, since they only use them when they're out raiding for slaves. No massive fleet vs fleet engagements for Dark Eldar!
