    Expanding Lord Cartier's Pleasurefleet

My BFG Imperial fleet is not amazingy huge, and doesn't follow any of the variation lists in the Armada book, but if anyone has any suggestions on what to add, I'd be happy. I just want some idea on how to make it bigger, as the games that get played near me tend to be quite large and although they can spread over 2 nights are great to play.

This is what I've got so far, again, any suggestions about what to add will be apreciated. Cost isn't too much of an issue here, and seeing as it is a semi-heretic fleet that I use as a fleet for my chaos 40K Army I can't really have any marine vessels.

Tyrant cruisers are amazing - 60cm batteries! I use two squadrons composed of 1x Tyrant & 2x Lunars in my own list.

Avenger grand cruisers are batterylicious as well, if you're a fan of classical naval combats full of broadsides (S12 on each side!). I'd love to use them, but can't stand the grand cruiser models (too Chaosy, and yes, I know that's because they're pre-Heresy).

The Oberon is my favorite Imperial battleship. Think Emperor, but with slightly less launch ability and slightly stronger firepower.

Squadrons of 2-3 Dauntless light cruisers make for fantastic hit-and-run units that you don't mind losing (they're extremely inexpensive points-wise). Along the same lines, more escort squadrons never hurt anyone - another unit of 4 Cobras makes for a nice firepower boost from one flank.

Thanks Megolomaniac. I forgot to put in the Tyrant cruiser that I have, and i have another box that should end up churning out a second tyrant. The only thing is you have to keep making gothic classes if you want a tyrant, dominator or overlord.

As for the chaos-esque cruisers, its a demi-chaos fleet anyway so i dont suppose a grand cruiser would be objected to.

Im not overly keen on using battleships, but I do agree that the oberon is a very impressive ship.
As for the dauntless squadron, i was gonna get some but i ran out of money. Definately next on the agenda.

    Thanks again for the advice.

Maybe you could use the Armageddon (?) fleet list that can have marine ships as well. Then you could make it more like a fleet that belongs to Chaos Marines. If not, what about that one that has strength 16 batteries on both sides? Although it's expensive, one little broadside and an enemy ship will most likely lose quite a few damage points.

Wouldn't really want to get any marine vessels, doesnt really fit my picture of what the legion would be like, having cast off the imperium. The uber S16 battery ship is on my agenda, if not at least one of the demi-imperial/chaos grand cruisers.

I was under the impression that Tyrants had only 45 and 30 range batteries.

You're right, they have two 45 batteries and two 30, along with torpedoes.

My bad, I was thinking that both batteries were 45cm and upgraded to 60cm, not that there was a 30cm battery upgrading to 45cm...
