    Tyranid Fleet Rules

I fully agree with Megolomaniac, the BFG board is quite empty. Where are you, people?
    So...

Are the Tyranid rules in BFG:Armada still legitimate? I've been shown a random PDF that looked rediculously old and crappy, but I was told that they were the newest rules and had replaced the list in Armada, which aparently is out of print and counts for nothing. Do I have permission to punch this person (well, I wouldn't because he's a good mate, but you get the point) or is he in fact right? After a bit of digging around I couldn't find any trace of this mysterious update. Help!

well, latest (unofficial official anyways) rules I could find on GW site was these.
Also, a small addon here, and a great article on building nid ships here.
    Gotta love those nid ships

As far as I know, the 'Nid rules in Armada are still the "official" official ones, despite Armada being OOP. If you need to find Armada, try Ebay. Just a moment ago I saw at least four copies there (I always browse Ebay for 40K/BFG minis).

The pdf that CryoGenFX linked to, as well as the other 'Nid ones on THIS page are the "unofficial" official rules.

    Confusing, no?

BFG players are, by far, the easiest going of all wargaming that I've experienced. Something to do with playing a defunct line that was never that popular when it was new ^_^ So chances are, if you use either the Armada rules or the rules posted on the above link, you'll be fine. Just make sure to clear them with your opponents first!

I already have Armada, and quite a large nid fleet made of sea shells, expanding foam and green stuff. I just got shown this PDF (which IS the one you posted, CyroGenFX, thanks, now I can read it properly) and didn't know what was going on. Now I know it's unofficial I can carry on devouring things my way without being told I'm wrong. Thanks guys.

Armada's still legal, according to the people at GW (mind you, from the same person that told me that the new rules were on the net). Seeing as it's back in print now and you can't just steal the stuff off of the internet any more, Armada are the official rules for them.
