We had a go at tweaking kill team as it doesnt really work. Its really too easy on the kill team. Some of the tweaks we made, units who become aware act immendiatly, not next turn, time limits on missions, mission determining limit, bigger more brute squads. Points for better brutes.
Its flawed but a nice place to start, play with it till it suits your level and style, of course if you want the kill team to always win by wiping out all the brutes and setting off every alarm in the place, use the original rules.
Ask not a question of the eldar, for they will give you three answers all of which are true and horrifying to know.
May i ask, what codex was your kill team player using? Space marines? and what were your brute squads?
I'll play around with it, and hopefully some of the rules can be salvaged and its not just GW's old bias towards space marines showing through.
