    YES! Space Hulk rocks.

I played it years ago and I just found my old copy in my parent's cupboard and brought it home with me. It's a really good game, tense and balanced, and difficult for both sides. I introduced my girlfriend to it coz she likes boardgames and I thought it would be faster to teach her than 40k.

Now every day it's "wanna play Space Hulk? I wanna play Space Hulk!" She loves it more than I do dammit.

Unfortunately my missions booklet is lost, so we have to invent our own. I have to flashback to being 13 years old to try and create balanced missions.

So, do any of the above wish to try to find a working version of the online game with me? This way we no longer have to be bound playing only those we can meet in real life. My own searching has led me to several versions of spacehulk that allow online gameplay, but no-one plays so there has never been a point to keep them.

Look at it like this, all the seasoned vets can find out who's the best while those of us who are fledgling players can try to become the top player. Or something else, but hey it would be awesome to get the game working on more than a physical level...

[Alright, just found one of those working online versions of spacehulk. go here to download it: http://216.239.37.104/translate_c?hl.../download.html download the latest release, and then post when you have it downloaded so we can all get together to play... ]

I still have my copy of 1st ed. Space Hulk, the Deathwing and Genestealer Expansions, AND the Space Hulk Campaigns book! It was the game that got me into 40K. It's also the reason why I am still such a sucker for including Termies in my SM army. It is a good game, but a little unbalanced against the marines, in my opinion. There is a web site, Expanding the Hulk, that has all SORTS of rules. Here is the link:

    Enjoy!

I may sounds like a bit of an Ancient here, but does anybody remember a game which I believe might have been a precursor to Space Hulk, called simply Ultramarine.

Myself and a friend dug it out of a cupboard at my local gaming club some 10 or 11 years ago. I don't know how many of the boxes they'd had originally but I know we put together enough floor sections to fill 3 double school desks in a row. We had everything nicely set up before we realised a critical error had been made, i.e. we may have found assloads of floor sections, but the rulebook was slightly absent.

    Anybody else remember this game?

Heres a nice little description of it:

In regards to Ultramarine, the game was an extremely watered down version of Space Hulk - thinner versions of cardboard corridors, etc. The rules for this game were more similar to Advanced Space Crusade, in that the game heavily relied on a stack of cards with surprises such as artifacts, or a threat such as a Genestealer. The goal of the game was for each player to deploy his squad of scouts in a space hulk in order to recover (or steal) as many artifacts as they can. The biggest downfall of the game was the way shooting was carried out.

I never played space hulk however i have played Space Crusade in fact it was space crusade that got me involved in the 40K hobby, ahh the old necron models the wave upon wave of grot cannon fodder the (necron?) Dreadnought that was almost unkillable sweet memories. I wonder if there is anywhere that you can get the rule book for space crusade and advanced space crusade as i would like to play that again.
