    Space Hulk

A true relic of 40k's past, space hulk. The game that saw many of the heros of the Imperium of today. Now how many members here have ever played it, and how many still do? Who will ante up to this spinnoff that gave the space marines much of their fame? Only being 17, and only been playing for 6 years, means that I never played original space hulk but that hasnt stopped me for the last 10 days...
(Have a full 6'X8' amount of corridors and rooms as well as extra bits. That and the full rules for second edition.)

Used to play a great deal. Then I could afford to play 40k. I may actually have to start space hulk again.
EDIT: As qwerty12 pointed out there are some revised rules for playing space hulk. They are based on 4th edition Kill Team. Space Hulk Rules

I fondly remember the old GW/MB games, I still have (and would like to play) some of them, although I don't remeber if it's 1st or 2nd ed Space Hulk, with Death Wing, for Solo Play (hey, theres an idea...), although my favourite game was Advanced Space Crusade.
You got to board nid bioships, and sabotage nexuses, brains and other icky stuff. you could also use many different minis, like scouts, marines, termies, librarians, stealers, warriors, zoats and hunter screamers. you could even encounter other species in gooey coccoons, or mutated orks!
    Love it.

'Tiss the spark that got me to look into the original version. The update is made so that if you dont follow all of the revisions then the termies almost never win. That and you dont need to reload weapons, nor form of turning penalties and genestealers are able to move even farther. Have acquired rules for using gaurdsmen, which will be tested to see what makes a good enemy for them. (between 'stealers, a rogue inquisitor, and cultists)

One thing im learning to love is the command points of old, helps alot with actions...

EDIT: for those who want them, here is a link to a site with downloads of the original first and second edition rules aling with a download of the original second edition board pieces.

Space Hulk was what got me into 40K, without a doubt. I probably still have some of the old boards in an attic somewhere. However, I've been considering building a board like the one Vom made over on Terragenesis. That thing rocks, and it makes me want to play some more.

Also, I think it might be fun to do varients. I.E. Craftworlds, and the like

Space Hulk.... it was a truly awesome game. Probably better in it's first edition guise than in it's second.

Let's see... Space Hulk, the came the Deathwing and Genestealer expansions, and finally the Space Hulk Campaigns book.

All this Genestealers, Genestealer Hybrids, Patriarch etc, along with Lightning claws, Thunder Hammers..... ahh, the memories!!!

I like the pressure of only have a limited amount of time to prform your actions as the Marine player. The Treminator models however were truly aweful.

In it's second release, with the posable terminators, it looked so much better, but the rules become somewhat weakened.

Now I shall dig into my cupboard and introduce my sons to the wonders of this long dormant game.... albeit the second edition version.

Can space hulk only be played with space marines or what? I got chaos terminators and I've always wondered if the rules were for both terminators or just space marines.

Oh space hulk my space hulk. This is the game that got me into 40k. My old camp counselor has/had it and we played it quite often, 6 summers in fact!

I however am willing to argue with wolfkin, I loved those old 1 pose termies. I loved 'em so much I managed to get my hands on one for my Deathwing.

To answer your question Valhallan, for the most part you can take chaos terminators. (Though they do not have the assault cannon, but no one will argue you using the reaper-auto cannon in its place, but only 2 shots instead of 4 if you play the mixed version of the game like I... )
