At last! My long work completed!
This is a scratchbuilt BFG scale mercahnt ship. It belongs to no current race, as it is not actually meant for BFG. That doesent mean it can't be used though. If I think of some rules, I will post them. Just wanted to know what you guys make of it, tell me what you think.
The 14 inch foam mock up:
The Final 4 inch mini (around 8 inches wide!)
Let me know what you think
Very Eldar-sih indeed. Looks cool! The first one kind of reminds me of the Bentus from Homeworld 2 (at least in those colors, non-painted that is).
Now that you mention it, it IS rather saurian. Sort of makes me think of lizardmen in space.
Cadian Enforcement Taskforce(1500) (3/3/2)
181st Cadian (1500) (0/1/4)
Then maybe i'll do some appropriate character concepts to followOriginally Posted by Rogoth
EDIT: If anyone's wondering why the mock up doesent have wings: unlike the eldar, these guys can reef or stow their sails. The exra long "fingers" that sprout from the main spar are a type of memory polymer. The rest just tucks into the hull when the sails are hauled in.
The front section reminds me of bentus from homeworld 2.
Very sleek, without the sails I'd say tau but the sails are eldar-ish at first glance...
Take my love, take my land, take me to where I cannot stand; I don't care I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.

Very nice. Can you take a picture of it from the bottom for us?Originally Posted by darkreever
Maybe so, but the 'sails' look more like wings to me. As if the model was designed to be transatmospheric.
Which would make sense in a merchant ship that would land ona planet, load and unload goods and then take off through the atmosphere for space.
But I guess they're not supposed to be wings since the creator of the model is calling them sails himself.

New 40K missions here.
The ship is transathmospheric. It would tuck the sails away (although even I call them wings) and approach the planet using conventional thrusters. It would probably not be miles long. Although It seems big, even for BFG scale, the scale is much larger infact. Grey, you wouldn't want to se the bottom, trust me. Its unpainted and ugly heh heh.
