can some one explane to me how the whole tyranids spore thing works
Pretty much like shields. What you might like to do is get a load of 40k spore mines and stick them on flying bases and have them following your ships. It isn't to complicated, I can't remember exactly how they work but I'll edit this tonight when I can get hold of Armada (I don't think I've ever played with my Tyranid fleet, it's pretty much a WIP at the moment). If you intend to play a game between now and later on just treat them as regular shields for now.
spores works exactly like shields with a few exceptions. A.) they are also your turret amount, use the full number but for each blast marker in contact (aka spores that have been used as shields) one die will hit only on a 6 as opposed to the normal 4+. B.)They add strength to ramming attacks. I don't recall the exact amount off the top of my head however, i'll look it up for you.
It doesn't really afect ramming, just if two ships mke base contact a blast marker gets placed touching both of them.
Other than that, you got it spot on. You might wanna remember that spores that act as turrets can act against both torpedoes and attack craft, unlike regular turrets of other less organic fleets.
