Can I send out the max number of squd out each turn (if I ues reload order) or can I only have max squd out at any one time?
If I can keep sending them out thats gona make my combo of Despoiler Battleship and 2 Stxy Hevy Cruisers and escorts a froce to fear
Yes, they were. That was how it went originally. You could pump out ordnance every turn and those Chaos fleets were murder.
NOW, with the revised rules for ordnance, you can have as many ordnance markers on the table at any one time as you have launch bays. Note that this doesn't affect torpedoes, only stuff using launch bays. GW wanted to return the game towards WW1 and WW2 fleets, less like the modern navies.
Note that Tyranids don't suffer this limit. They can flood you like before.

Thats good to know.
I've just started playing, so its good to get this grey areas sorted so that I know whats what.
Are the revised rules the online version? Or is there an FAQ somewhere?
As far as I'm aware, all the updates to the rules are online here. This includes all the current updates to the BFG rulebook that you need to play.
Hmm I've never seen that faq before. I read the rules, it says that there is no more run out of ordinance, but that you can't have more out than you have bays working in your fleet. But it also says experimental rules. So what do people usually play with? I've always done it as it says in the rulebook, but I'm thinking I like the experimental rules better, it kinda makes more sense to me.
Votewar MKV 2nd place. . .
Back from internet limbo, and glad to be here.
Aye, I've only played one game, but the experimental one is what we went with as it seem to make more sense, than rather havings hoards and hoards of fighters and bombers swarming the table.
If they don't engage in action then the fuelreserves arn't wasted and that allows them to stay in game for as long as it takes. That's the way I see it at least. But I do agree that kepping them many, many turns in play is quite od...Originally Posted by Will J
Its kind of tempting to make some house rules regarding this. Perhaps something like attack craft counters can only stay on the table for 3 turns. After this they have exhausted their fuel reserves and need to return to the carrier to fill up os are removed.
Gotta be careful about this though, as restricting attack craft too much will disadvantage some of the fleets that rely on them as a strength. There are already restrictions on how attack craft can be on the table, restricting them further might disadvantage fleets like chaos a little too much. Any opinions?
It also differs a bit from race to race. Like Eldar and Tyranids. Their vessels have more effective engines and would be able to stay on the table longer. And Tyranid fighters don't refuel, they die, are gathered in and reproduced.
