ok so i was under the idea that a wepons bay launches a torpedo. is this true or am i wrong?.
and i also do not know what a lance is or the nova cannon. can anyone help me?
Weapons Bays launch Attack Craft of varying types. The basic types are fighters, bombers, and assault boats - although other factions have different craft types to choose from.
Torpedoes are launched from the prow of a ship, and can only be launched if the ship's entry in the BFG books includes "Torpedoes" in the listing for weaponry. Most Imperial capital ships have Torpedoes. Some (but not all) Chaos ships do. As far as I'm aware, every race has a Torpedo equivalent on at least *some* of their ships.
A Lance is a type of direct-fire weapon, similar to Weapons Batteries. Both roll a number of dice equivalent to the strength of the relevant weapon (so a Lance 2 weapon would roll 2 dice). Lances have special rules that set them apart from Batteries - usually they're more likely to damage an enemy, but are much shorter ranged.
Nova Cannon are an alternate prow weapon that only is availible to Imperial ships. It fires a blast template in a straight line for an enourmous distance. Any ships caught under the template take damage, of an amount based on what part of them is under the template.
All of this can be found in the core BFG rulebook, which you can either BUY in stores/online or DOWNLOAD FREE from GW's Specialist Games website (http://www.specialist-games.com).
wow thx man
once again you save me
