    SM ship rules?

Where are the bulk of the SM fleet ship rules? Are they with the battle barge rules or, are they spread around various White Dwarfs and the like...?

Hey mate, almost all the SM fleet rules can be found in this PDF from the SG website:

    http://www.specialist-games.com/batt...ialVessels.pdf

This includes rules for all the ships and the fleet list itself. If you look in the articles section of the BFG SG page (click me) you will also find rules for a different type of battle barge.

Don't think I've seen you posting on the BFG forum before. Do you play BFG or are you considering starting?

    Cheers,
    Rich.

If you wanted the print version, all of the SM fleet rules are found in the book Armada. But the exact same info can be found at the link rp252 gave, so if you're just seeking the info, that'll be your best (and cheapest) bet.

I started about 3 months ago, played one game and thought it was interesting. Right now, I'm using the Imperial ships from the starter set for Strike Cruisers, is this okay?

You mean you're just using the models to proxy for SM Strike Cruisers? That's fine, and in friendly games most people won't mind (as long as you make it clear to them beforehand what the models represent!). In any serious game setting, tournaments and campaigns and such, it'll be less likely to fly.

I have the PDF for the various Marine Fleet configurations not found in Armada; I don't know if they're in the link rp gave. The rules for Venerable Battlebarges (Despoiler class in a Marine fleet?) and Fortress Monestaries are there too. I have no link, but PM me and I can email it to you. There's no law against that (it was emailed to me in the first place with not complaints from the mods for that fact being advertised).
