does any one have any info regarding the ratskin shaman, the standerd ratskin pdf make mention to them in passing about how archeotech grant them the favor of the hive spirits and that further rules would be in future issues of fanatic.
for all i know rules alredy exisit in the secound ratskin pdf but when i atempt to view it all i get is a searies of squars and goblity gook, i have no problem with any of the outher pdf's. also if any one knows of a way for me to get that info from an alternt sorce, even if it does not contain the shaman info please tell.
I just checked the link to the 2nd ratskin pdf and it works for me. Two things I can think you should try:
- Update adobe acrobat (unlikely to help but maybe)
- Try the link from different countries sites. Again, I doubt it will help but maybe a link is broken somewhere. This is the link I clicked to get the pdf (from the uk version of the site). See if it works: http://www.specialist-games.com/asse...NecRatskin.pdf
Hope this helps.
thanks for the idea of using adobe to view the document, that did the trick. i normaly use preview and aparently that program is not suported by that pdf, all th outhers are but not that one.
what is your opnion on the shaman i think his ability to sacrofice archeotech for aditional powers makes him over powerd.
Remember those are house rules.. Some of them are pretty sick in practice.. I put together an Ulenni gang list and it was a bit mad.. T5 Totem warrior of doom! :o
That said, I love the fluff for Ulenni, so I may still paint up a band of pallid, creepy little deephive ratskins sometime.

The_Giant_Mantis is right; as these are house rules they are not neccessarily balanced. I think when he starts out, the Shaman is just about right for his points - he is pretty good, but quite expensive, especially for a starting gang. Once he starts getting more powers however, he starts to become more and more powerful - and lets face it some of those powers he weilds are pretty nasty.
However, when you think about the relative rarity of Archeotech, and the fact that you are sacrificing a very profitable terrain for the new power (bascially the equivalent of buying the power I suppose), it makes it sound a little less overpowered. Combine that with the fact that other gang members will be getting more and more effective, and others will be spending the money they earn on new weaponry and the Shaman seem a little fairer again. That said, a Shaman with a few powers is a force to be reckoned with if they are used correctly.Could not agree more, very cool indeed. One day I'll get myself some ratskins like this, but that does require money and spare time, two things which are quite rare at the moment.Originally Posted by The_Giant_Mantis
