I asked this a while back but here goes again
When creating your own house, who can use the peripheral skill as far as i can read no one in your gang can which is really strange so i was wondering if anyone can help me.
Also i was wondering does anyone in your gang begin the camp. with skills?
thanks in advance

The quick answers to your questions are "nobody" and "no" respectively.
Basically the "peripheral skill" is a pretty poor way of naming a skill that none of your gang members may choose - because it does not suit the gang for some reason (i.e. stealth and the Golisths). Each house gang has a skill that none of its members may choose unless they roll very high or very low on the advancement chart (allowing them to choose any skill table). This is the equivalent of the peripheral skill in the "make you own house gang" article. All you need to do is choose a skill table you do not rate very highly (or that does not fit with the fluff of your gang - much better reason) and that then is called your peripheral skill and cannot be chosen by any gang member during advancement unless you roll a "choose any skill table" advance on the advancement table.
The "DIY" house gang is the same in most respects to a normal house gang in that nobody starts with experience above or beyond their profile. As such, none of your gang member may start with specialist skills, they must earn them the same way as other gangers do - through experience.
Hope this answers your questions mate.
