Hey all i'm coach Titan from the MBBL2 PBeM Blood-Bowl league, my league is having a bit of a recruiting drive at the moment so i thought i'd put a little post in here to see if anyone is interested in giving it a go.
Its a PBeM thats Play-by-email league which uses this excellent tool http://www.pbembb.com/ . In PBeM you only play one or two gameturns per day but its very good fun . Our league uses the LRB4 rules but its main attraction is its 89 different team types and additional houserules including on-pitchspellcasters, bionics, allies, personal apoths etc.
So if your interested in some blood-bowl madness check out the site http://www.blood-bowl.net/MBBL2/ and i'm sure any questions you might have can answered in the forum.
Right, my work here is done, time to get back to my dugout .
Despite the fact the our league is owned by Galak aka Tom Anders a major factor in creating the new LRB's, despite that gamesworkshop made him give up the bloodbowl.net address.
So we're now at MBBL 2 - Midgard Blood Bowl League 2 ( PBeM ) .
Our league now has 89 races!!!!!. Anyone interested in playing in the worlds most variety packed bloodbowl league check it out.
Extra help can be found in my personal bit of webspace Coach Titans MBBL2 Dugout .
Pbem of course doesn't take up too much time so its in no way mutually exclusive with tabletop leagues or the computer game.
I would join, but your league is a bit overwhelming. I've just begun playing with the Competition rules by GW, and am still getting used to the original list of teams. 89 teams seems crazy!
Do you have a slimmed down league, or one for newbies??
Well the MBBL uses the new standard rules but the MBBL2 still uses LRB4 rules so if you've played bloodbowl in the past it maybe more familiar. For those that prefer the new rules well it doesn't really matter much for our league due to all the custom stuff so while LRB4 is the basic rules, we have our own handicap table that is very similar to the LRB5 and 6 cards, although a little smaller. And of course we have our own very large skills page and special secret weapon rules etc. etc.
The 89 teamtypes arn't as overwhleming as people think, because there are so many NOBODY knows all the rules :lol, so before each game i'll take a look at my opponents race sheet and to see what i'm up agaisnt and maybe check on any secret weapons, skills or spells i havn't seen before, it really doesn't require much extra work mostly you only need to be familiar with your teams special rules and you can create mostly standard teams to avoid having to learn the extra stuff.
I for example started with a lizardman team keep things simple, there exactly the same as standard lizardmen to begin with, also took halflings and dwarfs, two othere teams very famililiar with to start to get my confidence up before going for the weird teams .
