Any word on the viability of a Pit Fighter Warband?

So now I've got a few games under my belt, I thought it would be a novel idea to have a Pit Fighters Warband.

I think they look like a lot of fun to use (and even more so to convert) and their fluff is most interesting.

But I don't particularly want to leap into leap into anything else GW-related yet, given my financial status, so I was wondering how they work, from people who've already used them/faced them. My regular opponent (Tankmster) reckons they're overpowered on the grounds that they're pure combat, but I'm not so sure tbh.

So yeah, any opinions/advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    -AFG

If they're pure combat, that shouldn't = overpowered

    it should, however, mean

Employ new/ranged tactics to beat them.

    I haven't played against them so I can't really say - but that's what I'd think...
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
