Hi all, I'm new here so a big Hello.
Ok I'm an avid bb fan as the title says, I've been playing for four years just finished my fifth year and now have two trophies WOOOOOO any ways my ideas; I've been working on a BB league (unfortunatly not online) but it is based on Soccer, I'm still refining the rules, its basically the same as gridiron BB. I'm not a good green stufferer so i havent sculpted any guys yet. I have however made some models for my team the Dominian Hotspurs. Um yeah the skills are kinda the same minus anything that has to do with catching the ball, except the goalie. After each game you are awarded with certain amount of points; depending on wether you win, lose or draw; goes for money too. Say for a win you get say 100 pts per player to add to an attribute like say you take the striker (blitzer??) and he would have the attribute goal scorer, good header, sharp shooter, and then you have little skills like trickery (some fancy footwork), fleet of foot (to boost his stamina/agility); to boost those attributes you use the points (der) to place say 20pts on sharp shooter to boost your accuracy in front of goal or you could put the whole 100pts onto fleet of foot to make his stamina/agilty(?). it goes with midfielders and defenders... however the keeper has less attributes. The keeper has sure hands, expert penalty stopper, this builds up on its own during the season depending on the amount of clean sheets he keeps.
Ok well that is my idea/project that i am working on... playtesting at the moment also. I'll post the results and more rules asap.
Criticism is wanted, and any one elses ideas are welcome too i am sure i can find somewhere in my rulebook for your ideas.
I'd say get the game itself working first. Then think about writing up a campaign. Passing would be much the same I imagine, but make it more accurate and shorter ranged.
I'll be looking forwards to seeing the rules for Youngheart Manawatu (they'd follow pretty much the same rules as Halflings)
Here's an online Magazine in the works that would appreciate your progress.
Cool i've just joined warzone mag cheers for that too ArchonFarseerGuy. Funny you should mention Halflings, that is who i was playtesting against, and well i got thumped 4-0, the rules arent that good need to brainstorm a bit more and add some more rules... i should mention there are 8 turns per half and i was 4-0 down by half time, i came close to scoring at the start of the second term i rolled a 3 and the ball crashed of the goal frame.. My brother has picked up the rules very easily while i had trouble. I had one red card when i rolled a double 1. I will be posting the rules up soon just after another play test this time not against halflings instead i will playtest against my other team the North Dominan Gunners... Rules up soon.
Edit: Anyone who wants to help me out with their own contribution or rules please feel free to PM me or post here Cheers again. MyKi

Ok I'm still writing the rules as i playtest my teams, Just wanted to let people know i lost 1-0 in the last turn from a penalty. I rolled a 3 with two D6 dice and fouled the opponent, i got yellow carded, then my brother rolled a 6 and i rolled a 2 and bang GOOOOAL and that ended the game. My team that i use to playtest with is scratch built and dont have any names from the EPL team tottenham, they are all my mates, just to add a bit of a good story lol, as for the halfling team they are based on Man utd and their star players are the human from Altdorf Dwayne Mooney and the halfling sensation from estalia Stickyiano Bunaldo. I have an Amazon team also in the pipe lines. I'm about 25% through the writing of the rules.
Wow so no-one hardly reads these.. Oh well Ok I'm still writing the rules I've 45% through them, and yeah well so far I'm 0-2, but that changed last night when i smashed my brothers halfling Sorker team Dominian Halflings Utd 2 to my Dominian Hotspurs 3 with my brother scoring the first two goals with his converted manling Dwayne Moony and Cheetos Cheezvez both scoring and my captain Mikhail Addicks scoring a hatrick the last of my goals came in my final turn when i rolled a 6 using my sharpshooter skill (Which is in the rules and its for strikers only) my brothers keeper Eatin McCheese Burger rolled a 3 and I was damn proud that I finally won a game that I'm trying to create. After i won that playtest game I moved on to another team which is half built and that is my Orc team Boarcalona. I'll let you know soon how they went against my brothers Halfling team.

Ok well I'm pretty much done with the rules, just need to iron out a few things before i hand them out to my mates to playtest as well. My team Boarcalona an all orc Sorca team thumped my brothers halfling side (which i changed the name to Domfester halflings Utd) 4-0 with my big orc Flanalete Messitent scored a hatrick with my brother scoring an own goal. so far i'm 2-2 with playing games. Rules up when i get the net back. So Long for now.
Football.but it is based on Soccer
I believe that depends on where you are.
In the UK, Football = soccer, whilst in the US, Football = NFL unless my facts are incorrect.
It's played with the foot generally, ergo "football" or "association football" to differentiate if from Rubgy football....
This looks like a fun game - I could see myself scuplting a few greens for it, certainly, especially Elven teams...
I live in Oz and we got AFL (footy) and i lived in tottenham for a few years so i got used to soccer being footy and when i got into blood bowl i figured why dont i make a soccer(football) version; So i called it soccer for the easy-ness of my ozzi mates, i have a few greens of AFL dudes i've made for my next project and a few teams of Sorca its cool. I have the rules just about ironed out; i still cant figure out how to word the passing in the rules so once I've figured that out I'll post it up. I know i've been saying soon soon but i should have the rules finished hopefully in the next few days if work stop riding me for this business project im doing bler.
