Welcome to Librarium Online!
i have played BB for about 3 years now. and recently i have purchased a chaos dwarf team.
they are so crap (im probably breaking rules but i dont care)
i really do not like them.
if you call 4 CD and 8 HG a stubstantial team that will always win in games. a decent team i dont think so.
i have even tryed using secret weapons in my team but it just doesnt work for me.
am i doing something wrong?
any veteran players please give me some advice.
thanks in advance
Boys rule, Girls suck! (if you get what i mean)

Bull Centaurs are one of the best blitzers in the game!. Movement 7 (with sprint) and str 4 they are good ball carriers.
Facing a team with 6 Dwarf Longbeards, 2 Str 4 Centaurs and a Mino is daunting even for a Dwarf team. You will only have 2 Hobgoblins on the pitch at the start of the game with a full roster.
Here's some advice:
Give hobgoblins surehands, pass, accurate (doubles=strongarm).
Give dwarfs guard, mighty blow (doubles=standfirm).
Give Centaurs block, surehands (doubles=standfirm/dodge).
Set up all your players on the scrumline ready to bash the opposition there (unless Woodelf or Skaven were you want to close gaps if a blitz occurs). Set up 2 hobgoblins at the back to collect the ball.
Pick the ball up with one of your two hobgoblins in the backfield and move towards to formation of the cage. You're dwarfs, mino and 2 BC should be able to hold for a turn easily. Most games you will be the one overpowering you opponent! Once in cage shuffle to one of the edges and push down the flank. Once you are in opponents half. blitz through using one of your Bull Centaurs. Hand off the ball to your surehands BC and he sprints to the touchline with surefeet keeping him standing.
Set up 3 chaos dwarfs on the scrum line, with the other 3 just behind them, infront of the 3 big guys to protect them. Put the Hobgoblins at the back (they are only good at covering really).
Vs. passing teams: bash through them. You will be much stronger than them, and make sure you keep the 3 Chaos dwarfs behind to cover (their tackle comes in useful) Blitz your mino into the middle with the 3 CD there. Your hobgoblins should be your last line of defense to force there catcher to make dodges through 2 tackle zones to score. With maximum movement 9 outflank the opposition and go for the sack with the Bull Centaurs. Str 4 is really good coupled with ma 6+sprint+surefeet! Even if you dont hit the ball carrier 2 str 4 fatties hanging around your thrower will make the opponent panic, as they are hard to take out when together! Your opponent will be forced to make a lousy pass to a catcher that is not properly supported. Your 3 Chaos Dwarfs and 2 hobgoblins should be able to crush him.
Vs. rushing teams: guard helps alot with this. The opponent will be trying to find weaknesses in your line. With guard you won't let him. If you see a weakness, free up one of your Bull Centaurs by hitting opponents next to them with CD, and move him in to plug the gap.
Chaos Dwarfs with guard supporting a mino and 2 Bull Centaurs will overpower even chaos teams. For the following reasons
1) You are always going to have two skills above them with chaos dwarf having block and tackle to start with, beastmen will not have guard as they will take it as their second skill after block. And if they do you will have mighty blow which will means you outnumber the opponent as MB turns chaos beastmen armour into woodelf armour.
2) It's a battle of attrition. He loses on all counts. Your team can take heavy damage. Most of your players have Av 9, most of his have Av 8. Your team stay on the pitch instead of being KO. Most of your players have Thick Skull, only one if any of his will have Thick Skull. Your team already has the basic skills needed for bashing. Most of your players start of with block and tackle, None of his start of with it.
3) He may have 2 more str 4 players than you but you forget you have 6 dwarfs! With guard you get +1 strength for each dwarf next to the target. In a compact brawl in the middle of the pitch with 6 guard dwarfs, it's most likely you can get three assists with a bit of thinking! Your Chaos Dwarves can handle themselves and thats not mentioning they have the back up of three heavies (hey, Dwarves bash with the best of them without big guys, And anyway I'd take 3 heavies over 2 Slayers anyday!
With all this added up you will overpower the opponent and he has nothing he can do about it. Sit back, relax, and him go on the defensive all of the sudden trying to stop you from scoring!
Good luck matey!

Can't add much more except my experience with Chaos Dwarves. I ran a league for six years and Chaos Dwarves did very well.
The bull centaurs make surprisingly good running backs (if you don't mind me using US Football terms). Yes, give them Sure Hands and Block and they quickly become the lead scorers on the team.
Having six long beards with Tackle makes every agility team wince. Another surprise was the star player with the blunderbuss...try it out, I'm willing to bet you will score with it, especially if you give a hobgoblin Diving Catch. Not to mention that it allows you to field seven long beards at one time...great for defensive play or forming a cage. Best part of it is that he's not very expensive, and it's hard to roll high enough for the ref to throw him out of the game.
Yes, we actually found that Chaos dwarves were over powered. Cheap rerolls, cheap backups (hobgoblins), a good core (dwarves), and a badass ball carrier. I would recommend starting with 2 centaurs. Once you get one completely decked out (block, sure hands, dodge(if you are lucky)) I think you will be singing quite a different tune.
