I was wandering about my bookmarks last night and came across this site again. I decided to sign up and have a looksee. Its a very well done site, with great guides on how to set things up and how it works etc. One thing I did notice was the fact that you are able to setup your own private league/group. This got me thinking...
On LO, and many other sites, the specialist games are neglected by many. In a site this big we can't really do a campaign for something like Mordheim or Necromunda, however there is chance for a league with BB. I think if its works it could be a great addition for the forum.
So, I'd like to gauge interest in running one of these. The usual size suggested is about 16 teams - but a few more would be fun. I haven't cemented the details just yet, as I wanted to know about if it would work. For those unfamiliar with FUMBBL, here are a few links;

I'm confused. It says that you need to "own" a copy of JavaBBowl and that you should go "buy" it from your local Games Workshop or order online; in the next paragraph, it says JavaBBowl is free. Or, am I missing something? Reading through it once more, I guess it's just saying "you should own a copy of Blood Bowl itself in order to be able to use JavaBBowl."
At any rate, I'd be very interested, especially if it's free, but I'm a little nervous as to the quality of other LOsers who would take part. I don't want to be one of a couple newbies against a ton of experienced BB vets, especially since I don't know the rules yet.
Still, sign me up if you get it going!
LRB5) and learn it, as much as possible. The program itself is free to download and has everything you need to play the game.
While there might be more experienced coaches being involved, hopefully there will be some less experienced ones as well. Everyone will start off level pegging and grow throughout the league...and perhaps a specialised LO Tournament. The mix between new and veteran would be good, it'll give people a chance to play varying skill levels and hopefully improve.
If you know of other BB enthusiasts... send them this way.
My homage to my time spent at Libararium Online:
Well I finally got the FUMBBL program to work, so I can game. But I have seen that they use LRB4, rather than 5, but the program does most the work for you.
However, we'd need a few more before this could even work. Little attention.
Possibly in. It depends on how much time it would take up.

I'm trying to see how best to run it, but once there is enough people wanting to play (ideally 16, but we could do it with . The plan is that there is no set games, you arrange them yourself. Meaning, you could end up playing twice as much as another player - that is your choice. The more you play, the better your team becomes. Games take about 1hr or so. Not too long. The season though would be long, to allow for people to play loads of games and make it fun.
All this is ideas, but if enough want it, then I can start to pitch ideas at you all. I'd like feedback on them etc, to make sure you all enjoy it.
