Pretty much as the title suggests. While discussing an upcoming Chaos Cup with some of the other coaches, we realised most of us had named our players and teams using puns. Some others had just "Warhammer-ed" real NFL teams and players. I myself generally name my team and players based on characters from TV, movies and books. Just curious to other people's processes.

Main people are myself and my best mates, then it goes into my MMORPG player names... if i run out of them then i think *what am i naming, who was good at that?* my dwarf team on FUMBBL has a dude name frenzel, who was THE fastest runner in my grade school, and was basically my best mate.
Then it goes into random peoples names... for some reason i seem to always have atleast 3-4 people with a K a the starting name....Kyle, Kevin, Kody. but yeah, usally people i've met before is the way i would do it.
No sig required.
That is lazy indeed!
I use it for NPC name generation in my Roleplay groups.
I just make up reasonable sounding names, using names of RPG or fluff characters as inspiration.
Example - Teclis or Malekith are appropriate sounding Elven names, and Gotrek is appropriate for a Dwarf. So, I make up names that have the same general sound as those names, depending on what race they are. That's how I came up with my DE team's names.
generally my teams are named through a web of bad jokes (Stega and Dythinki as saurus players), general references (hadouken the skink) or whatever i find sounds interesting at the time (Val Derros).
the only team roster name wise is my fumbbl norse team the hounds of lothar.
FUMBBL :: Hounds of Lothar
anyone care to guess?
