    Sisters of Sigmar (alternative models)

I tried asking the modelling forum, but no one seemed to care, so I thought I'd try the dedicated section.

does anybody have a good idea for alternative models for a sisters of sigmar warband?

The current models are non-existent or to expensive (45 bucks for bertha, dude please...)
I started looking through the CMON gallery and shop, but so far I don't have any good hits.

    I found some!
Protectorate of Menoth Daughters of the Flame

I'll be using these as regular sisters and some 40k Witch-Hunter models (the semi-naked ones with chain swords) as Novices.
Celestine with some minor conversions as my Matriarch.
And some random models as Sisters superior.
I actually managed to acquire a original Augur model, she'll fill the roll she's supposed to.

I hope this helps anyone else searching for alternative SoS models.

Seeing as you've been looking at Warmachine models... I wonder if any of the Retribution Of Scyrah models would be any good?

There's a Mage Hunter Strike Force that might work (they're armed with crossbows and some carry swords) and some of the solo Mage hunter miniatures might work as well.

They look pretty good, and I considered them.

The only problem I have with them is the way they hold their weapons and their pose, I could swap the weapons but they'd be left standing awkwardly with hammers. If the Sisters could use crossbows I'd definitely use them.

For now I have enough models to fill out my warband, they might not be equipped ultimately, but at least I have some models to field!

Thanks for the tip tho! I appreciate it.

And here I was thinking witch hunters would be bang up for a bit of crossbow action! I must admit I haven't had much exposure to Mordheim, I must have been thinking of the 40k witch hunters.

Good to hear you've got enough for your warband though! Hope the conversions work out alright.

The witch hunters do love the crossbows!
    The Sisters don't, sadly

I'm seriously considering starting a Witch Hunter warband, just so that i can use those mage hunters, they just look so sweet.

I'll definitely post pictures when I finish modelling and painting my warband!
