whats the scoop? as much detail as possible please
what a long strange trip its been
The thing I most enjoy about Mordheim is that its VERY easy to run a compaign. Campaigns are a lot of fun because your heroes and henchmen will advance and it becomes entirely different from a "one off" game. Things that happen in the game you are playing will have consequences down the road in later games.
I would recommend getting a few friends involved if you plan to start playing so you have people to paint, model, and play with right from the start.
For me, it combines the fun of a game like DnD with the elements of table top gaming.
Another great thing about Mordheim games are that they dont take 3 or 4 hours like a big Warhammer or 40k game does, so you can get a lot more games in.
I am the Aquila-Guerilla!
Main hook for me was the character advancement and that you get a feel for your warband. Its not like WFB, where you sacrifice unit after unit of nameless rabble to achieve your goal... in Mordheim you feel a certain dedication to your warband as you see your heros grow stronger.
I also love the small feel of the urban fighting, rather than the huge scope of the WFB games.
It's the WFB of Necromunda.
