    Kislevite Criminals

For those of you who have read 'The Ambasador' and 'Ursuns Teeth' You may have noticed that the city of Kislev isn't all pretty. There is a dark criminal underworld to it to. I started with the idea of Chekatilo and Rejak (the main heros/criminals in the book) but then I realised that rejak dies and chekatilo went to marienburg (that might come later!). So from that I have decided on a criminal master mind to lead my warband, his cold blooded killer to help him and a bunch of well paid henchmen.

1 captian: sword, ancestrial dueling pistol and helmet.
    1 youth: sword, dagger.
    2 warriors: crossbow, dagger.
    1 cossak: axe, mace, helmet.
    1 cossak: halberd, helmet.
    1 streltsi: handgun.
    2 cossaks: pistol, dagger.

I think that is right, but please tell me if i have made a mistake, typo etc......

Looks like a good mix of weapons, and you even made it up to the ideal 9 models. You may want to throw in a few more heroes (try and get the max of 5 to start) as they're you're income. You can't replace warriors or add new ones if you don't have the money.

Also, I made that list in Army Builder real quick to check points, and even if I give everyone you said had one dagger two, I still find you short of 500 gcs by about 25-30. Use those extra crowns to upgrade a few warriors to heroes.

Also, the streltsi special Gun-Rest rule really doesn't justify the handgun over a crossbow until he becomes a hero. The crossbow has better range and can fire every turn, unlike the handgun. Both are S4, but the handgun has armor piercing, which actually isn't that great in MH because so few people actually take armor. The odds to hit with two shots at one worse to hit are either equal to or better than the single shot every two turns. Plus, there's actually a chance of getting two hits in two turns, unlike with the handgun. In short, lose the handgun until he's a hero and has the Hunter skill. Then you should look into a handgun/halberd combo.

    re think

Here is a slight re mix:

1 Druzhina Captain: sword, ancestrial dueling pistol, dagger.

    1 Youth: sword, dagger.

    1 Youth: sword,pistol, helmet, dagger.

    1 streltsi: handgun, dagger.

    1 cossack: axe, mace, helmet.

    1 cossack: halberd, dagger, helmet.

    1 cossack: pistol, dagger.

    2 warriors: crossbow, dagger.

    should be a bit better.

When I re-made that list in Army Builder (your second list) it only comes out to 451. Spend those extra 49 crowns on something nice, preferably another warror (taking you up to 9) so that you have to lose 3 warriors before a rout check, instead of 2. Also, for experience purposes, try grouping your cossacks. If any of them get taken out as they are now, they won't get any experience from a game. But if you have them in a group of 3, then 2 of them can get taken out and the group still gets an experience point after the game.

I re-made the list into something like this- see if you like it.

Druzhin Captain- Dagger, Ancestral dueling pistol, sword, mace, helmet

    Youth 1- Dagger, pistol, sword

    Youth 2- Dagger, sword

    1 Streltsi- Dagger, handgun, halberd

    3 Cossacks- Dagger, pistol, halberd

    2 Warriors- 2 Daggers, crossbow

And that comes out to 499 gc's, almost an exact 500. See if that list will work, hopefully it will.
