i have this problem, one of my friends say that after a battle, and you are searching for rare stuff, where you roll 2d6 per hero searching for a thing, he say that you can roll for one thing, with multiple heroes at once, like these 2 heroes are searching for a wardog (for example) you roll 4d6, and add those together, is that right? another of the players say that you choose which two you use, but it just seems weird, cant explain why...
so... what do you play with?
No you are not allowed to combine your hero's dice together. They have to roll individually. So if two heroes look for the same thing you roll 2D6 for each of them. Makes it possible to find it twice, once or not at all.
It's in the rule book so I don't understand the confusion.
Yeah you only ever roll 2D6 per rare search roll. The fact that two heroes are searching for the same item just means that they both get to try, as Thee Forsaken One stated. That's what the MH living rulebook says on the matter, so I can see where they'd get confused. But each hero does his/her searching on their own, so no combinations or anything like that.Availability
The Price chart has a column
marked ‘Availability’. Common items
are always available, and can be
bought in any quantity. Items
marked ‘rare’ are more difficult to
find. A rare item’s availability is
indicated by a number, for example
Whenever a Hero wants to buy a rare
item, roll 2D6 and compare the
result to the number stated. If the
roll is equal or greater, the item is
available. For example, you need to
roll 9 or more to acquire an item
marked ‘Rare 9’. You can only buy
one rare item for each successful
roll. You may also only make one
roll for each Hero looking for rare
items. For example, if your warband
has four Heroes, you may make four
rolls to locate rare items. Warriors
taken out of action during the last
battle may not look for rare items.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong.
ok, thank you very much.. i'm so going to wipe this in their faces
it make sense, but you could explain it with that i'ts their combined effort to find someone that sell the thing.. (thats just something i can imagine them saying..)
but thanks again
