    Skaven starting warband

right, This is for a campaign so I would like it to be competitive, but I haven't much time on my hands at the moment, so it is basically models I already have.

    Assassin Adept:
    Fighting claws,
    Light armour.

    2 Black Skaven:
    Free dagger,
    Sword,
    Throwing knives.

    Eshin Sorcerer:
    Spear,
    Throwing knives.

    Night Runner:
    Sword,
    Free dagger,
    Sling.

    Night Runner:
    Free dagger,
    sling,
    2nd dagger.

    2 Verminkin:
    Slings,
    Free daggers,
    2nd daggers.

    2 Verminkin:
    Spears,
    Sheilds.

I plan on adding some giant rats later on in the campaign, aswell.

I would only do a few things differently. With the Eshin Sorc i would use a sling instead of throwing stars. Main reason with a base strength of 3 there is little use for the throwing star. I would opt for the longer range sling at the same strength, you'll have movement penalties of course with the sling, but you want the extra range with your sorc.

I would personally opt for Eshin fighting claws on my black skaven, and drop the sword and the verminkin with spears/shields. The black skaven will be more effective with the additional str 4 attack, plus later they become monsters with all the skaven abilities.

I think it looks good, I've just started in a campaign myself. I prefer Weeping Blades for my Adept, and just as in Fantasy I prefer numbers to carry the day.

Just a note of advice that I've found has helped me so far...use your heroes to gang up on particularly tough models. My Eshin Sorcerer recently took a Vampire out after it was softened by my Adept and a Skaven with fighting claws. Oh, and first chance you get buy some Dark Venom for your fighting claws - its great against Dwarfs who think they're so very tough!

    Good luck.

    thanks for your advice guys!
I certainly will buy some poison asap, and as for the numbers, I have 4 giant rats to add after my first or second game, (I'm waiting to see what spell my socerer gets).
I also have another henchmen group of 3 verminkin with swords and daggers for some more numbers.
The main idea behind this list is to have six heros starting off, and to survive the first game for max income. Then my warband wil multiply! (evil laugh)

I checked the rules, and it says: 'Apart from your leader, you are allowed 5 other heros.' That is all I can find, can someone confirm this or otherwise?

That is correct, re-read the rules and max hero's appears to be 6
